28-yr-old smothers minor son to death, kills himself

A 28-year-old man allegedly smothered his four-year-old son to death and then hanged himself from the ceiling fan at his rented house in Narela on Monday.
The man, identified as Dharmendra, used to work as a jar delivery man for a RO water service unit. ‘He had tried to kill himself a year back,’ said Vikramjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer).
He further added that he committed the act at around 8 pm when his wife, who works at a nearby factory, wasn’t around.
‘Dharmendra was reportedly suffering from depression. His relationship with his wife had strained for the past few years,’ said Singh.
