28-year-old man shot at in Titagarh

A 28-year-old man was shot at by some unidentified miscreants on JC Road in Titagarh, North 24-Parganas on Wednesday morning, police said. 

The victim, Ahmed Ali, was having tea at a stall close to his house when two miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and shot him from a close range. Ali suffered two bullet injuries on his chest and he fell on the ground. The local residents immediately took him to Barrackpore BN Bose Hospital from where he was later shifted to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital after his condition deteriorated. 

Police said that victim was a broker against whom there were some complaints in the local police station. Police suspect that a business rivalry could have led to the incident. Police have started an investigation but they are yet to arrest anyone in this connection.
