26-year-old woman found dead in East Delhi

A 26-year-old married woman was found murdered at her rented accommodation in East Delhi’s Mandawali area on Thursday. Her husband, Narender Kumar is absconding. Police said that the incident came to light on Thursday morning when locals found a foul smell emanating from house number A-75 in gali number 6 of the area. 

Police questioned the landlord who said that he rented out the house to a person named Narendra Kumar (30) who is a native of Orissa a few days ago. The landlord had given him (Narender) the house after which Narender locked the door of the house and was not to be seen anywhere. According to the police, the landlord had said that Narender had introduced the victim to be his wife. 

The woman has not been identified yet. Her body was decomposed. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. However, police have not ruled out the involvement of Narender. A case of murder has been registered at the Mandawali police station under section 302 of the IPC.
