25-year-old woman loses legs in Metro suicide bid

A 25-year-old woman lost both her legs after she jumped in front of an approaching train at Janakpuri East Metro station in west Delhi, a police official said on Friday.
'The woman was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital immediately. Her condition is serious,' the police official said. Police have not yet ascertained the motive behind her attempt at suicide, the official said.
According to Metro officials, the incident took place at 1.08 p.m. at Janakpuri East Metro station, as the train was heading to Noida City Centre Metro station from Dwarka.
'There was no delay in the metro train service due to the incident.
