Neighbours rushed to <g data-gr-id="30">Rinki’s</g> residence immediately and one of them called up the Police Control Room, said a police official.

A case of murder was registered immediately at Narela police station and <g data-gr-id="34">Rinki’s</g> body was sent for a
post-mortem examination, after which it was handed over to her family, said the official.

The police had questioned dozens of relatives and neighbours till Saturday evening. However, they have not come across any leads in the investigation, the official added.

Earlier this month, a 19-year-old girl from Central Delhi’s Anand Parbat area died after she was stabbed several times, allegedly by two brothers living in her neighbourhood.

The incident occurred outside the girl’s home. Police have arrested the brothers in connection with the case and are probing if other people were involved in the attack. They also claimed that she was attacked by her neighbours over the two-year-old police complaint. But police have claimed that no such complaint had been registered.

The post mortem report of Minakshi has revealed that she died due to profuse bleeding caused by eight stab injuries.
