25-year-old charred to death after truck overturns on car

The incident took place around 2.30 am at the Rao Tula Ram flyover which also led to traffic snarls in the area. According to the police, the victim got stuck inside the car which caught fire after the truck overturned on the car. Apart from colliding with the car, the truck also rammed into another car and a motorcycle which left three people injured including two women and a man who was riding the motorcycle.

According to a police official, “a large truck was heading from Munirka to Gurgaon which rammed into a Honda Amaze car. This car was heading from Munirka towards South Campus and was carrying two people.” However, the driver of the Amaze took a left turn and crashed into a divider. The truck lost its balance and overturned on a Swift car which was waiting at the traffic signal. According to the official, the Swift car was heading from <g data-gr-id="41">South</g> campus towards Gurgaon. Since the truck had overturned on the car, the engine caught fire and the driver was charred to death.

The official added by saying: “By the time we reached the spot, we found his charred body and we had to cut the car open to <g data-gr-id="38">take</g> out the body.”

Meanwhile, the passengers of the Amaze car were unhurt and the biker sustained minor injuries.
According to the police, the driver of the truck is absconding. A case has been registered under Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304A (causing death by negligence) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC against the driver. Later, the body was taken to AIIMS for post-mortem which will be conducted on Thursday.

According to sources, Aneesh shifted a month ago from Pune to Gurgaon and was working at a private firm. Sources also claimed that he was the only son and his father is a Colonel in the Indian Armed Forces.
