22-year-old architecture student commits suicide in New Friends Colony

A 22-year-old student of School of Planning and Architecture committed suicide in South-east Delhi’s New Friends Colony area after failing the exam for the second time. 

The incident came to light on Monday night when few of victim’s colleague went to his room in the hostel to stop the loud music he was playing. The victim, identified as Dinesh Yadav, hailed from Andhra Pradesh. When the students failed to get any response from inside they managed to break open a window to enter the room. They found Yadav hanging from a ceiling fan. 

After the police <g data-gr-id="20">was</g> informed, the body was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The body has been sent for the post-mortem. A suicide note has been recovered that reads: “I am unable to pass my examinations so I am committing suicide.” During investigation it <g data-gr-id="16">was found tha</g>t Yadav failed twice in his examination and since then he was depressed. In his first year, he failed but managed to pass the examination in his second attempt. Similarly, he failed in second year too after which he went into depression.
