22 cases of theft reported in residences of MP’s till Oct

The number of theft cases in the residences of MP’s in the Capital has stayed on the higher side over the last two years with the registration of 22 such cases till October this year. Although the number was 24 last year, considerably less such incidents were reported in 2012 and 2013. While 13 cases were registered in 2012, the corresponding figure for 2013 was 10, Lok Sabha was told on Tuesday. “Delhi Police have registered 22 cases of thefts in the residences of MPs till October 31 out of which six cases have already been worked out and as many as nine persons have been arrested in these connections,” Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said.
