21-year-old Manipuri man slips on stairs, dies

In yet another incident, a 21-year-old man from Manipur was found dead under mysterious circumstances outside his rented apartment in Munirka in south Delhi on late Thursday evening. Police have ruled out any foul play in the case.
Prima facie circumstances suggest that Thangsonalian died after slipping on the stairs. According to police, he was working in a private company in south Delhi’s RK Puram area and was pursuing stenography course from a private institute. For the past few months he was residing in a rented accommodation at Ber Sarai area. On Thursday, Thangsonalian had gone to Ambedkar Stadium to watch a football match and returned home at around 11.30 pm.
‘Thangsonalian consumed alcohol with his friends and went outside. Few minutes later he was found lying on the staircase of the ground floor. Neighbours who noticed him lying also informed the police and a team reached the spot,’ a police official said. He was immediately rushed to AIIMS?Trauma Centre where he was declared brought dead. During examination at the hospital, the cops were informed that the victim was under the influence of alcohol.
