20-year-old gang-raped in Millennium City, 6 arrested

The Millennium City registered yet another brutal gang-rape case on Thursday night when a 20-year-old girl fell victim to the heinous crime. The victim is originally from West Bengal but was presently residing in Delhi.

An FIR has been registered against six accused all of whom belong to Nepal who allegedly gang-raped and tortured the girl.

The victim’s statement to police read that she was coming to a guest house in Q-Block DLF Gurgaon to celebrate her birthday. She was also accompanied by a couple of friends from Delhi, one of whom was an accused in the incident.

On the pretext of birthday celebrations, all of them got drunk and gang-raped the victim one by one. Her friend also accused them of beating her and the rape victim. It was during the next morning that the friend of the victim somehow managed to slip away from the guest house and inform the police.

The DLF Phase II police immediately reached the spot and rescued the rape victim from the clutches of the accused and an FIR was registered against the six men.

The police made sure that a test was conducted on the victim and proper medication was provided to her and she was produced in front of the magistrate for her statement.

After further investigation, the six boys were identified as Mahesh, Vinod, <g data-gr-id="23">Harin</g> Behra, Santosh, Anjan <g data-gr-id="24">Bhatrai</g> and Lalit Bist all aged between 18-24. An FIR has been registered under Section 323, 342, 506, 376 D, 120 B of the Indian Penal Code.
