18-yr-old boy stabs temple employee to avenge repeated sexual assaults

The murder took place on the intervening night between Saturday and Sunday when the victim, identified as Hanuman Pandey called the accused — Rahul Sharma, who recently turned 18, at his residence in Sarai Kale Khan. According to Rahul, the purpose of calling him to his residence was to develop a physical relation with him.
On sustained interrogation, Rahul revealed that Pandey was a homosexual having sexual relationships with several boys.
“Three months back, Rahul came in contact with Pandey, who used to call him at his rented house at Sarai Kale Khan for indulging in a physical relationship with him. Rahul was being pressurised by Pandey to visit him regularly for this purpose. Whenever he tried to keep himself away, Pandey used to threaten to get him arrested or of beating him up by his friends,” he told police.
“Eventually, Rahul started nursing a strong grudge against Pandey. A month ago, Rahul purchased a knife from Samman Bazar to eliminate Pandey,” said DCP (North-West) N Gnana Sambandan.
On the fateful night of Saturday, Hanuman Pandey invited him for sex in his room at Jain Mandir.
After 11 pm, the accused armed with the knife, reached the room at Jain Mandir, Bhogal. While Hanuman Pandey was ready for sex, waiting for him in the nude, Sharma slashed his neck from behind, he added.
However, Pandey fought back and during the scuffle, the accused himself suffered knife injuries over his chest and fingers but managed to stab Pandey around 30 times, killing him on the spot.
The accused Rahul left his blood soaked shirt, pant at the spot and ran away from there, after wearing the clothes of the deceased. He reached his house at Sarai Kale Khan and bandaged his fingers and was hiding in his rented room. He accepted to have thrown the blood-stained clothes of the deceased in the garbage area of Sarai Kale Khan.
The deceased was found lying in a pool of blood, with around 30 stab injuries over his neck, chest, left shoulder, back and private parts, revealing the gruesome nature of the murder.
Rahul was arrested following a tip-off that he might be escaping to his native place in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul has studied till the second year of his BA. He runs a mobile shop and his father has a food stall near Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station.
