In a similar incident in the past, the accused was caught having unnatural sex with a teenager boy. The accused was sent to a juvenile home as a punishment for the crime after which he was again accused of raping his sister.
The victim was raped in the night while the rest of the family was sleeping. The scared girl did not share the details of the act with anyone. However, she recently realized that she is probably pregnant and shared the plight with her father, who then took her to the cops on Friday. An FIR was filed under Section 6 of the POCSO Act at Bhondsi police station. The accused was apprehended and sent to a juvenile home after he was produced in court before the magistrate.
“The accused has a history of being a sexual offender and has earlier been booked for unnatural sex too. He was released from there some time back. He will be undergoing counselling again in
the juvenile home,” said ACP Hawa Singh.
This time the accused preyed upon his sister, three years younger to him, and raped her a month ago. The sister, aware of his brother’s nature, was scared to inform anyone of her plight. It was only when she realised that she was having irregular monthly menstruation, she decided to inform her parents.
Meanwhile, the child was taken for medical tests to the Civil Hospital in Sohna on Friday afternoon where the tests confirmed pregnancy.
Often in instances like these, the juvenile is sent for counselling sessions in juvenile homes. But in this rarest of the rare cases, counselling inside the shelter home might be not be that helpful.
“According to me, the child needs proper psychological counselling, may be some medicines also because the accused have repeated the offence twice in just one year,” said Shukantala Das, the director of the Child Welfare Committee of Gurgaon district.
