A 17-year-old boy was killed while his two friends are critically injured after they allegedly rammed their motorcycle into a stationary auto under the area of GTB Enclave police station on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Prateek.

According to a police officer, the accident took place at around 2.30 am near the Shahdara flyover while Prateek along with his friends, Aakash (24) and Govind (16) were allegedly crossing the road on their motorcycle.

“Over-speeding, they allegedly hit a stationary auto, which had broken down and was parked on the middle of the road. One of the passer-by made a PCR call after which police rushed them to GTB hospital where Prateek was declared brought dead while Aakash and Govind were admitted in the ICU,” said an investigating officer.

Investigators said that as per the statements of the injured, the duo had called Prateek at 1 am to go for a ride. He allegedly sneaked out of his house without informing his family.
