17-year-old boy falls from school building, dies

A 17-year-old student died after falling from the building of a school, police said on Saturday. Ravi Verma was studying in a school in Gokalpuri area of East Delhi and fell from the fourth floor on Friday evening.

His father Bijendra, a clerk with Air India, said: “During the school interval, Ravi came home and had lunch and went back to attend the rest of the classes.” 

He alleged that some of Ravi’s friends pushed him from the building.

“School authorities informed me that my son fell from the building. I don’t know how he died, but his death is not an accident. He was killed... Some of his friends pushed him from the school building,” he said.
