15-year-old boy killed by friend over drunken brawl

A 15-year-old boy was brutally killed by his juvenile friend over an argument after they were hanging out under the influence of alcohol in South-east Delhi’s Jaitpur area, police said on Thursday. The accused has surrendered before the juvenile justice board on Thursday.

The incident took place around four days ago when the duo was roaming in Madanpur Khadar area after consuming alcohol. While walking in the late hours of the day, they had an argument over a pity issue. Further, the 17-year-old boy who lives near the residence of the victim, smashed his head with a brick and before fleeing from the spot, he stabbed him on his neck with a knife he was carrying at the time of the incident.

The accused then fled from the spot leaving him bleeding. A passer-by spotted the victim lying in a pool of blood and a PCR call was made. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead and excessive blood loss was said to be the reason for his death. On Thursday, the accused surrendered himself before the JJB. The reason behind the argument is yet to be ascertained, senior police official said.
