13-year-old rescued from rapists, abductors

A 13-year-old girl, who had been repeatedly raped, was rescued by Delhi police officials,  after five days in captivity. Cops have arrested two persons known to the victim and a manhunt  is on for the other accused.
The incident was reported to police on 21 June by the parents of the victim, a student of class VII in a government school near her residence in Kalyanpuri area. The girl had gone out to fetch a few essentials to finish a school project when she went missing

She was traced on 24 June, after her mobile phone was switched on by one of the accused. The girl was found locked in a one-room house  in the Durgapuri area.

After being rescued, the victim narrated her ordeal to the police and said that one of the accused, Chandan, who was known to her had abducted her and took her to a room where he raped her. Chandan was accompanied with others and the victim identified one of them as Pramod.
'Chandan and Pramod were arrested after several raids to nab them.

The remaining accused have been identified, but they are still absconding and a man-hunt is on to find them,’ the official said. The girl told police that Chandan had been planning to sell her at GB road to earn some money.
