104 foreign cadets to take part in NCC R-Day Camp

A total of 104 cadets from foreign countries will be participating in the annual National Cadet Corps Republic Day Camp here this week, that will also see the highest participation of women in the recent past. The NCC, which has request from about 4,700 institutions pending before it, is focussing on getting more students from border, coastal and left-wing extremism-affected area, NCC Director General Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty said. “2070 cadets including 707 girl cadets are participating in this year NCC Republic Day Camp. The cadets are drawn from 17 NCC directorates covering all the states and union territories of the country,” Chakravarty said.
