Youth’s body recovered from ground near Katapukur morgue

The incident had triggered tension in the area. The local people spotted the body which was lying in a pool of blood on a playground situated on Remount Road in Mominpur. After being informed police reached to the spot and recovered the dead body.

Police said that there were multiple injuries on victim’s body and his throat was slit. Police also found that there was a cut mark on the wrist of the victim.

The victim has been identified as Deepak Mahato. Police said that Deepak was a local resident who had gone missing at around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.

Local people staged demonstration at the area after they found the dead body of the Deepak on the ground. They alleged that the police were unable to check crime in the area as a result of which the criminals are getting a free run in the locality.

They also said that antisocial elements are rampant in the area and youth indulge in liquor consumption.

Locals put up protest movement in front of the police who came to recover the dead body.

According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the murder had taken place somewhere else and later, the miscreants had piled the body on the ground. The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination.
