A 21-year-old youth was allegedly thrashed to death by three men after the youth told them to not fight outside his shop in Outer Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dhiraj. Meanwhile, police have arrested the three accused identified as Varun, Manoj and Prem Kumar. Sources said that Dhiraj and Varun often fought. In order to teach him a lesson, Varun and his associates allegedly thrashed him with sharp objects.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 11 pm in Seeraspur village when these three men were standing outside Dhiraj’s shop. They were allegedly having an argument with some other persons when Dhiraj objected and told them to go away from his shop.
Enraged over this, Varun allegedly decided to take revenge. Minutes later, they all came again near Dhiraj’s shop and started brutally thrashing him till he became unconscious, said police.
According to the police, family members alleged that Dhiraj was lying in a pool of blood for hours. It was only when a passer-by spotted him that he informed the police. The police rushed Dhiraj to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police said that Dhiraj’s body has been handed over to his family after the post-mortem was done. Sources said that Varun and Dhiraj often fought in the past. In order to taking revenge, Varun along with his associates allegedly killed Dhiraj. A case of murder has been registered at the Samaypur Badli police station against the accused. Further investigation is on.
