Yogendra Yadav wants an end to AAP infighting

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav, who was recently ousted from its key decision making panel, on Sunday said that he wants an end to the internal fighting in the newbie party. Renewing his Jai Kisaan Abhiyaan in Panchkula in Haryana, he appealed to the thousands of volunteers not to lose hope and continue their good work.

“My appeal to all the supporters: Ups & downs are part of the long journey we’ve begun together. Please don’t give up on the idea of AAP so soon. My appeal to all AAPians: We’re here to fight corruption, not each other. Let’s focus on the real issues. No public spats please,” Yadav tweeted on Sunday.

Yadav on Sunday renewed his Jai Kisaan Abhiyaan from Panchkula in Haryana with an appeal to the party cadres not to lose hope and faith in the party. He is party in-charge in Haryana and a few days ago he was dropped by the party from its Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

Yadav has appealed for ending the infighting in the party. He wants the activists to retain their faith in the party and work on its ideals and principles for eradicating corruption.

The senior leader refused to comment into the statement made by party leader Mayank Gandhi saying the matter should not be taken further. Gandhi, who had criticised the removal of Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from the party PAC had claimed that he was being targeted after he wrote a blog to bring out the truth.

Yadav said the party’s Jai Kisaan Abhiyaan, which was launched a month ago, would be continued with renewed vigour in the state to protest against the anti-farmer policies of the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state.

The party has been presenting salt bags to the Haryana MPs to remind them of their responsibility of raising the issues concerning the farmers and citizens of the state.
