Trump congratulates Moroccan King on Throne Day

Moroccan King Mohammed VI has received a congratulatory message from US President Donald Trump on the 18th anniversary of the country's Throne Day.

The Throne Day in Morocco is a national occasion celebrated on July 30 of each year with several official and popular celebrations.

In the message, Trump expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Moroccan King and to the Moroccan people, hailing the friendly relations between the two countries lasting more than 240 years.

The US President also lauded Morocco's leadership in ensuring regional stability and expressed its willingness to work together to advance the African continent.

"The US looks forward to continuing to work with you and the citizens of Morocco to fight extremism and promote prosperity, the rule of law and security," Trump concluded.
