The late Princess of Wales described how she eavesdropped on the "raunchy" conversation between her husband and his mistress.
And she revealed that Camilla was farracier than her more tame lover, the Prince of Wales. Diana made the allegations on a
tape allegedly recorded by a BBC cameraman, hired by Diana, just five months before her death on
August 31, 1997.
The tapes are different from the ones she recorded with her voice coach, Peter Settlelen, that are set to be broadcast on Channel 4 tonight. Settelen underwent a lengthy legal battle with Earl Spencer, the royal's brother, to be able to broadcast the tapes in the UK.
Diana hired Settlelen to build her confidence in public speaking but she ended up trusting him and talking about personal things.
She offloaded intimate details about her marriage, the Queen, and her shattered life.
But, in these latest tapes, Diana recorded over 12 hours of footage of a similarly sensitive nature, with a handpicked cameraman.
She apparently invited the unnamed cameraman to Kensington Palace in March 1997. The cameraman has chosen to remain anonymous, but is still alive today,
living in America.
He allegedly kept a diary of exactly what the royal told him during the candid sessions.
A source told The Sun that he wrote in his diary: "Diana caught Charles and Camilla de flagrante after listening in to his phone calls.
"She described how she came to listen to their phone calls. In one, Charles was sitting on the toilet seat when she caught him.
The latest Diana tapes were recorded between 1992 and 1993 - around the time that the princess had separated from Prince Charles.
She described her heartache at her husband's affairs and other grievances with the royal family.
The tapes mysteriously vanished from her Kensington palace apartments after her death in a Paris car crash
in 1997.
