The Prime Minister of China Li Keqiang had delivered at the opening meeting of the National People's Congress (NPC), and promised to maintain the track of registered urban unemployment rate within 4.5 per cent.

China targets to create urban jobs with an increase of 1 million as compared to last year.

The government's annual work report explained that the last three years also witnessed an increase in jobs from 9 million to 10 million.

"Last year, China created 13.14 million urban jobs, surpassing 13 million for the fourth consecutive years, therefore the goal for this year should be attainable," said Zheng Gongcheng, a professor with Renmin University of China.

The medium-to-high speed growth and a considerable economic aggregate contributed to stabilisation and expansion of its economy, . However, its service is capable of creating more jobs.The service industry accounts for 51.6 per cent of the country's GDP, which is slated to increase indicating the expansion of more jobs in future, said Zheng
