Noida Authority has escalated the pace of the work to introduce the much-awaited Integrated Safety Surveillance mechanism worth Rs 80 crore that will enhance traffic management in the city making the roads safe for commuters.
The authority has started the process to rope in a private firm that will act as a consultant for installing the 24X7 Integrated Safety Surveillance mechanism. It is expected that once the system comes into existence, the mechanism will streamline policing as well as improve the traffic system in the city.
According to the sources, the system will have a three-tier security that will cover traffic management system, important entry and exit points and all government premises. CCTV cameras will be installed in an area of 20 square kilometres including the Noida entry gate and City Centre Metro station. The authority is expected to finalise the private agency in the next three-four months.
