For long the dream projects of Noida Authority, the Fardabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) expressway, a multi-level parking and two underpasses, were pending. But now the authority has decided to speed up work on these pending infrastructure projects.
Rama Raman, the chief executive officer of the body, has directed engineers to expedite the work on all projects. The authority looks at the NFG as an important project not just for residents but also from the point of the realty sector. He has asked the engineers to clear the obstacles and finish projects and their delivery at the earliest.
The 43 kilometers long Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad expressway, to be constructed at a cost Rs. 1, 000 crore, has been facing obstacles after some farmers have refused to give their land for this project. The CEO has directed engineers and concerned circle officers to promptly resolve all legal issues between farmers and the authority.
The Noida authority had planned the FNG passing through this land way back in 1989 and started work in 1993. The authority has already completed 16 km stretch out of 21 km that falls under Noida’s jurisdiction. The remaining part of FNG lies in Ghaziabad and Faridabad.
