Work in full swing to achieve target, Rajnath tells his men

He said, the recent poll debacle of the Congress clearly shows that people are no more interested in them and they want a leader like Narendra Modi to take the country towards development.

Blaming Congress for their dirty politics, he said, ‘They have always tried to malign our party’s image. It seems that now they have accepted their defeat. The online donation campaign under the banner of NaMo for PM is a major success as they have got a huge response in the last three days.’

Sudhanshu Trivedi, BJP national spokesperson, said, ‘In the meeting it was decided that all the salaried workers of the party, which is nearly 1.30 lakhs in figure, were asked to donate their one month salary in the NaMo for PM campaign. The party will bring two resolutions including a political and an economic suggested by our leader Prakash Javadekar and Ravi Shankar Prasad. This proposal will be placed in the National Council Meeting scheduled on 18 and 19 January for further discussion under our senior leaders Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.’

The political resolution will focus on the mis-governance under UPA government hit by a series of scams and present itself as a strong alternative to the Congress at the Centre and the economic resolution will focus on the poor state of the economy under UPA regime which has hampered growth and investment in the country. The party leaders will also focus on the neighbouring countries, foreign policy, internal security and corruption. In the three-day brainstorming session from 17 January, top BJP leaders, including LK Advani, from across the country will be present. The two-day national council meeting on 18 to 19 January will be held at Ramlila Maidan, while the party event on 17 January will be held at NDMC Convention centre.
