A woman, along with five supporters from Saharanpur, were on a hunger strike in front of Arvind Kejriwal’s residence at Tilak Lane in protest over distribution of tickets to candidate, who are allegedly involved in corruption. The woman alleged that AAP, who claims to fight against corruption, has lost its path and gave tickets to people who are involved in crime and corruption. The woman, Partibha Shishodia, a resident of Saharanpur and a former law faculty in private institution said that she has been on a hunger strike for last seven days but no AAP leader except Prashant Bhuhsan met her. She alleged that Yogesh Dahiya, the AAP candidate from Saharanpur seat has been booked by the police in connection with a scam worth Rs 300 crore in acquisition of land from farmers. She further alleged that Kejriwal is not able to explain why he has given the tickets to such tainted candidates. AAP leader Dhaiya, in-connivance with administrative officers embezzled the accounts and cheated farmers of Rs. 300 crore. One fails to understand why Dhaiya was fielded despite farmers’ opposition and widespread allegations against him, she asked.
