Woman set ablaze by ex-husband in Mangolpuri

A 35-year-old woman was severely injured after her ex-husband allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze in Mangolpuri Industrial Area on Wednesday morning.
The victim, Kusum Sharma, was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital with 40 percent burn injuries. The victim had recently separated from her husband, Giriraj (40), and lived in a rented room with her two children at outer Delhi’s Aman Vihar.
According to police, the accused had been stalking the victim from past few days. At around 9.00 am on Wednesday, he barged into her office and started an argument with the victim. To avoid embarrassment scene, Kusum asked him move outside the factory premises.
Around 9.30 am, police received a call from a local residing near the Industrial area that a woman has been set ablaze by a man near the Mianwali Railway tracks.
The accused, Giriraj, is still at a large and police has launched a manhunt to nab him.
