Woman, paramour arrested for husband’s murder

A 23-year-old woman brutally murdered her husband with the help of her lover in south-west Delhi’s Najafgarh area on February 3. The victim’s body was discovered on February 12. The duo — his wife and her alleged lover were arrested on Tuesday.

Aman Das (25), was executed because of a marital discord between him and his wife, Charu (23).
Aman was a heavy drinker and used to beat up his wife regularly.

Aman was a civil engineer and on the day of the incident, the couple had a bitter argument in the morning that turned violent. Charu called up her lover, Anurag, and killed her husband.

According to the police, Anurag went to their residence and had a heated argument with Aman.

During the scuffle, Anurag attacked him with an iron pipe, wooden stick and baseball bat. He brutally smashed his face to hide his identity.

According to their plan, they stuffed the body in their car and dumped it in a drain in Najafgarh. On February 4, Charu along with her family, registered a missing complaint.

“During the investigation, he was identified as Aman. Later after intense questioning, Charu confessed to the crime along with her lover, Anurag,” Suman Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-west) said.

The couple had got married in 2011 and since then they were residing in a rented accommodation in Dwarka.
