Woman gets 7-yr RI for forcing girls into flesh trade

A local court has sentenced a 49-year-old woman to seven years rigorous imprisonment for immoral trafficking of minor girls and forcing them into flesh trade at a brothel run by her.
Additional Sessions Judge SJ Kale recently awarded the sentence to the woman from Navi Mumbai after convicting her for running the brothel and forcing two minor girls into prostitution. The accused was convicted for offences under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and awarded seven years and also sentenced to five years’ rigorous imprisonment under Section 366 (a) of IPC, with both the sentences to run concurrently.
