Woman accuses live-in partner of rape, cheating financially

A woman accused her live-in boyfriend of raping her on pretext of marriage and duping her financially in the Millennium City. The accused had promised to marry the victim but didn’t do so despite being in a live in relationship with her for three months. The victim alleged that the accused took more than four lakh rupees from her during their relationship. 

The police informed that a 33-year-old woman filed a complaint at Sector 5 police station on Saturday. 

The victim stated that her boyfriend lived with her for three months and he raped her on multiple occasions. He also duped her of Rs 4.40 lakhs. However, when she asked him to marry her, the accused refused to do so.

The victim who hails from Uttrakhand alleged that she met the 24-year-old accused who hails from Jhajjar on a holiday trip to Uttrakhand with four of her friends.  They had hired a cab for the trip and accused Dinesh Kumar had accompanied the driver on the trip.

While travelling, the woman and Kumar befriended each other and became close. The accused told her that he wants to marry her. 

Kumar asked the victim to quit her job and move in with him. After they returned back to Gurgaon after the trip, they had been living in a banquet hall in sector 5 where Kumar worked. The woman alleged that since then, Kumar not only raped her multiple times, but also cheated her financially.
 
He used her ATM card to withdraw her savings, and withdrew a total of Rs 4.40 lakh. She also alleged that the withdrawal of money also happened without her knowledge.  

However, when she asked him to fulfill his commitment, he refused to marry her. After which, she filed a police complaint on Saturday.
