Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday made a slew of announcements, including the recruitment of 13,000 police personnel, as he took on the previous Congress government, saying it will take time to get the “derailed” system on track.
A recruitment drive would also be launched by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) for regular appointments in different departments of the state, Khattar said addressing Pragati Rally at Samalkha in Panipat.
He said to bring transparency in recruitment process in government jobs, the government had decided to reduce the weightage of interview marks to 12 per cent of total marks.
The CM said big industries had been invited to set up units in the state to generate more employment opportunities for the youth and development of the state. Khattar said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana has recently completed its six month tenure.
“While taking the reign of the state administration, we have made some promises to the people that include providing a transparent and graft-free administration. It is matter of pride that we have been successful in keeping a check on corruption,” he said. Taking a dig at the previous Congress regime, he said “it will take time to get the system on track, which has been derailed during the previous regime.”
He said e-registration system has been implemented in all tehsils of the state under which one could get the registry of property at his doorstep in just seven days on payment of prescribed fees. “This system would not only ensure transparency in the tehsil works but also discourage the role of middlemen, which is harbinger of corruption. To save time and resources of people, CM Window has been set up at each district headquarter where people could give their complaints,” he said.
Khattar added, “Apart from this, they could also lodge complaints on CM web Portal. With the start of these services, now the people need not come to Chandigarh to submit their complaints.”
