Refuting charges of corruption made against him by AAP, Congress leader Kapil Sibal, who is the minister of communication and information technology, said on Saturday he would resign if Kejriwal could substantiate his claims. Otherwise, Kejriwal should quit for labelling baseless accusations, he added. Sibal said, ‘It is surprising that a CM is making such baseless allegations. This is politics of the lowest order.’ Challenging Kejriwal to prove the allegations Sibal said, ‘I am giving Kejriwal two days. If he is able to prove his accusations against me, I will resign from my post and quit politics. But if he is making baseless allegations, he must leave his position,’ said Sibal. ‘I come from a poor refugee family and have worked my way till where I am right now. Who is Kejriwal to malign me like this?’ Sibal threatened to file a defamation suit against the Delhi CM, and retorting to his allegations, said, ‘Who are you? A judge? A prosecutor? You are calling my 30-year political career corrupt? I will file a defamation suit.’ ‘I will give him two days time,’ he said.
