Will ‘break’ any Chinese construction on Indian territory, Rajnath warns

Dismayed over repeated attempt to encroach Indian territory, union home minister Rajnath Singh on Monday has warned China against constructing roads in Indian side.

Speaking in a public rally, he said, ‘New Delhi wants cordial ties with its neighbours but if China continues to carry out construction of roads on Indian side, our forces will be left with no alternative but to break any such construction as a last resort.’

He said, ‘They must stop this practice of infiltrating Indian territory and construction of roads on our side. We always wanted to have good relations with China and they should also respect our sentiment.’

Continued incursions by Chinese troops into Indian side have led to high tension along the border. The matter of incursions came up when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in New Delhi recently.

Meanwhile, asserting that it was taking forward its promise to bring back black money stashed abroad, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said BJP is committed to its promise on bringing back black money and has already initiated steps in this regard.

‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised the issue of black money at the meeting of G-20 in Australia. The Prime Minister has helped in creating consensus among the international community to make public the names of all defaulters possessing black money,’ he said.

The Minister noted that black money was badly affecting the country’s economy and the BJP will do everything to create international pressure to get it back.
