‘Will ask state govt to release pending grants worth Rs 700 cr’

After winning the Mayor’s post in SDMC, ruling BJP on Thursday retained posts of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Standing Committee as well. <g data-gr-id="15">Radhay</g> Shyam Sharma and Parveen Rajput were elected for the posts on Thursday. On the occasion, Sharma said the Corporation will work for transparency and good governance to benefit Delhiites and provide better services. He said <g data-gr-id="13">increase</g> in internal revenue is needed for better delivery of services. 

“We have to work for revenue enhancement in property taxes, parking outdoor ads and other areas. We will ask the state government to release pending grants worth Rs 700 crore to the Corporation immediately,” added Sharma.
