Why 120 students won’t study in DUSOL?

Despite attending two months classes regularly, the admission of 120 students of MA and MCom of Delhi University School of Open Learning (DUSOL) have been annulled due to the unavailability of final results.

DUSOL have cancelled the admission of the 120 students of MA and M Com of DUSOL, who were completing final year of their graduation as they unable to submit their final result to the MA and M Com admission administration of SOL. The students had taken the admission in August and were supposed to appear in examination on 22 November.

O P Sharma, the assistant registrar of SOL said, ‘The result was supposed to come by 31 August, and we had requested the university to uphold the provisional admissions of the students till the declaration of their result, as per previous practice. But the university did not respond and the admission of these 120 students have been cancelled because of it.’

Sharma also added that ‘We cannot jump over the university decision, we can’t go against the university and this is not in our hands.’

Shakuntla Devi, student of SOL, said , ‘For no fault of mine, my admission in MA has been cancelled. I am very tensed.’

Deepak, a student of commerce in SOL said, ‘Though my Bachelor results have been declared late October, my admission has been cancelled.’
