WHO draws up plan to check hypertension

Ahead of the World Health Day on 7 April, World Health  Organization (WHO) is developing a global action plan (2013-2020) for  the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. WHO is  assisting countries to develop plans and set targets to track progress in preventing such diseases. According to WHO, high blood pressure or hypertension kills nearly 1.5  million people every year in South-East Asia.
