WB finance minister Amit Mitra injured

At a function to felicitate meritorious Higher Secondary students, Mitra raised his hand as the names were being called when his palm accidentally touched a ceiling fan, Deputy commissioner (DD) Barrackpore Commissionerate C Sudhakar said. 

Mitra was rushed to a local nursing home where he was administered first aid, following which he returned to the venue to attend the programme, he said.
