Though the water supply will remain affected because of maintenance work, what’s ironical is that the problem will start just hours after Arvind Kejriwal takes oath of office as the national capital’s chief minister.
‘The water supply will be curtailed on Saturday evening and Sunday morning in most parts of South Delhi due to maintenance of the area’s main pipeline,’ said Delhi Jal Board (DJB) spokesperson. The affected areas will include RK Puram, Vasant Vihar, Katwaria Sarai, Ber Sarai, Kishan Garh, Safdarjung Development Area and Munirka.
Similarly, due to urgent maintenance work at Bhagirathi plant, water supply will be affected on Thursday evening in East Delhi areas such as D and E Block Preet Vihar, East and West Vinod Nagar, Mandawali Societies, and Patparganj societies.
Further, due to annual flushing of underground reservoir at Sriniwaspuri booster pumping station, water
supply will be available at low pressure on Saturday evening in South Delhi areas such as Amar Colony, Garhi Village, Kailash Hill, East of Kailash, Vikram Vihar Community Centre and Lajpat Nagar-III.
