Warm Sunday in Delhi, rains expected on Monday

The week ended on a warm note for Delhi as Sunday’s maximum temperature settled five notches above average at 26.3 degrees Celsius. Forecasting thundershowers Monday, the Met office said that the chilly weather will return. ‘Parts of the city will be lashed by rains tomorrow (Monday) and with that the chill will make a comeback,’ said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The last couple of days in the capital have been warm with maximum temperatures settling above the average.
Monday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 22 and 12 degrees, respectively. Sunday morning was sunny and pleasant with the minimum temperature settling a notch above average at 9.5 degree Celsius. The humidity levels wavered between a high of 95 and a low of 32 per cent. Saturday’s maximum temperature was three notches above average at 24.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was a notch above average at 9.4 degrees Celsius.
