Wanted for rape, murder; ex-UP min, son surrender

Former UP minister Avadhpal Singh Yadav and his son Ranjit Singh, who were wanted in several cases, including of rape and murder, on Monday surrendered before a local court in the town.

According to their counsel, they surrendered in the court of a civil judge in connection with several pending cases.

While Yadav is a former animal husbandry minister in the previous BSP regime, his son is a <g data-gr-id="10">zila</g> panchayat member. They were both carrying a cash reward of Rs 5,000 each for their arrest.
