Votes of minority community valuable: BJP

‘BJP is not against the Muslims and want their votes for winning Lok Sabha elections. However, party wants to make it clear here that it would not support ‘terrorists’ at all for getting their votes,’ chairman of Delhi BJP’s Election Committee chairman Vijay Kumar Malhotra told reporters here.

Malhotra also said that people of minority community are safe in the BJP-ruled states while country has witnessed several riots in the Congress-ruled states.

BJP leader also slammed union law minister and candidate from Chandni Chowk, Kapil Sibal for his statement, published in a Hindi daily, that he wanted strict action against erring police officers who detained Muslim youths from Jamia Nagar.

‘In his statement, Sibal has assured that his advocate son will contest the case in court for of these ‘suspected terrorists’, which is complete violation of the Model Code of Conduct. BJP has registered complaint against him to EC demanding he be restrained from trying to influence an ongoing sensitive investigation into terror plots and not threaten and demoralize the police force for his mere political selfish interest,’ he said.

He said Delhi police arrested dreaded terrorists Bhatkal and Vakas and after their interrogation, many terrorists were arrested from Rajasthan, Delhi and Nepal.

‘Delhi police comes under the Central Government and Kapil Sibal should first resign from law minister’s post and Congress party and then he should raise such issue over this matter’, he said.
BJP leader Udit Raj, a candidate from North West Lok Sabha seat, also slammed Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi party for making false promises to the people on several issues.
