Vodafone India rings in 12.6%

Vodafone India on Tuesday reported 12.6 per cent jump in total revenue at Rs 42,526 crore for the fiscal ended March 2015 on the back of customer additions and robust data growth. EBITDA or operating profit of the UK-based company’s arm stood at Rs 12,605 crore for 2014-15, as compared to Rs 10,847 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company had reported a total revenue of Rs 37,777 crore in the 2013-14 fiscal. “All the focus areas -- data, Vodafone business services and M-<g data-gr-id="16">pesa</g> performed well and maintain a high growth trajectory,” Vodafone India MD and CEO Sunil Sood told reporters here. 

Vodafone India is now the third largest contributor to the Group’s service revenues, Sood added. Its customer base stands at around 184 million and the average revenue per user at Rs 200 in the fourth quarter of 2014-15. The company made a capital expenditure of Rs 8,598 crore, mainly on new site <g data-gr-id="15">roll out</g>, in the fiscal ended March.

The net debt for the company stands at Rs 47,807 crore as of March.
