Vijender Gupta takes digs at CM’s statement

Vijender Gupta, leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly has termed the alleged statement of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, reportedly admitting that his government will be able to achieve only 40-50 per cent of poll promises by the end of its five-year tenure, as ‘striking example of despondency afflicting AAP government’.

“It seems that within two months of taking charge, Kejriwal government has given up on governance,” said Gupta. Reminding the government of its promises on women security, installing 15 lakh security camera and free wi-fi for all in Delhi; introducing Lokpal, providing pucca houses to slum dwellers, legalising the unauthorised colonies, making Delhi corruption free, bringing an end to VIP culture and so on, immediately after coming to power; Gupta demanded Kejriwal to implement them.

He alleged that the Delhi government has failed to act upon even a single poll promise they made to the people in the past two months, even after winning with such a vast majority. Gupta said in the past two months, the true character of the AAP has come to the fore. “This is a party that has been inflicted with inner party fights over issues of command and control with all its top leaders indulging in mud-slinging each other, ever since it came to power,” added Gupta.
