Vijay Nagar bookstore has key to DU job, albeit fake

In the contemporary scenario of the employment deficit, where a lot of M.Phil and P.hd, students are struggling in queues to get a job, a Vijay Nagar Book shop - No 12, named 'Shreya Magazine Book and Stationary' shop has been found to be selling fictitious application forms worth Rs 20, for the job of a laboratory attendant in Delhi University.

Sources from the Delhi University informed that, 'The book seller was selling the application forms for the lab attendant, worth Rs 20, in which required qualification for the job was as a class V pass out and salary for the post was mentioned as Rs 10,000 per month and Rs 1,20,000 per annum.'But Delhi University has not issued any kind requirement for such a post and or a form like that,’ a source said.

Sources also added, 'When Delhi University security guards got the information about this they an under-cover operation, in which one of their members went along with four and five police official to Vijay nagar, disguised as a job seeker and when he asked for one form, the shopkeeper gave him one. Again when asked for multiple number of forms, the shopkeeper denied and said that there was scarcity of  forms, as he was getting 200 copies every day from the supplier.

He asked them to come and get more forms the next day.'

Officials of Mukherjee Nagar police station nabbed the shopkeeper red-handed. When asked about the supplier of the forms, he refused to divulge any information and so was taken into custody for further investigations.

'DU has not issued any forms for any such recruitment. If and when such recruitments are made, they are made according to the norms and no fee is charged for the application form of this job' said a senor DU official.
