Vasudeva pledges Rs 2 cr ONGC relief for Uttarakhand

Joining the national efforts to provide immediate relief to disaster-struck Uttarakhand, where unprecedented Monsoons have caused large-scale destruction and huge loss of life, ONGC has announced a contribution of Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, ONGC Chairman and Managing Director Sudhir Vasudeva termed the natural disaster ‘deeply disturbing and shocking’ and said that the devastation emerging out of this tragedy has been a matter of pain and anguish to the entire nation.

He said that ONGC stands by the people of Uttarakhand in this hour of difficulty.
