Delhi University authorities recovered 65 optical mark recognition (OMR) forms for Four-Year Undergraduate Admission (FYUP) during a raid on bookstores in the Laxmi Nagar area on Monday.
A senior official on condition of anonymity informed that a three-member team raided the two bookshops. The team that included deputy director Om Pal Singh, chief security officer Gajay Singh and assistant security officer Krishna Kumar raided Khandelwaal and Pandey bookstores at approximately 6 pm.
‘From Khandelwaal Book Depot our team recovered 24 OMR forms and 41 forms were found in Pandey Book Depot.
We have registered the complaint against these two booksellers and stationers, and we will keep our eye open for such irregularities till the admission procedure is completed,’ the official said.
Millennium Post had on Sunday reported that shopkeepers were selling DU admission forms at higher rates in Laxmi Nagar.
When asked about the forms, one of the shopkeepers had said, ‘I have both categories of forms – OBC and General – but it would cost Rs 150.’ This was Rs 50 more than the actual price of Rs 100.
