Vardhan takes pot shot at Sheila over female foeticide

‘It is quite surprising that in spite of the fact that a woman is the chief minister of Delhi, 60 per cent of girls die before they are born due to foeticide. Delhi government and its health department are directly responsible for this heinous crime,’ said Vardhan. He held Dikshit directly responsible for the menace. Vardhan also quoted the recent data released by Centre for Social Research after a survey in Delhi. As per data, according to Vardhan, in 2001 there were 968 female against 1,000 males in Delhi, which has gone down to 866 by 2013.

 ‘In Delhi, private hospitals are engaged in pre-natal sex determination and also providing services for abortion in large numbers. However, no action is being taken against them by the government,’ alleged Vardhan. He claimed that he will end the sex disparity if voted to power.
