Vardhan says India will lead world in science and tech

Union Minister for Science and Technology Harsh Vardhan on Friday stressed that India has the potential to lead the world in the sector. Addressing a two-day directors’ conference of the CSIR in Dehradun, Vardhan said the 21st century belongs to India and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his ministry would work towards developing technologies for improving in living standard of the public.

Vardhan also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is also the President of the CSIR Society, saying that he wants to take the country forward and scientists should work to solve the challenges being faced by the country. The minister also urged scientists to conduct regular brainstorming sessions for identifying projects for the welfare of the poor.
