According to the claims of the organisers, several lakh people from North Eastern states live in Delhi. ‘The people of North East will support BJP in the this election,’ claimed PB Acharya, overseas friends of BJP explaining the problems being faced by the community in the city.
The residents of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim live in large numbers in Timarpur, Krishna Nagar, Model Town, Rohini, Janakpuri, R.K. Puram, Madipur, Mehrauli, Laxmi Nagar, Palam, Malviya Nagar, Patparganj, Kasturba Nagar and Bawana assembly constituencies.
